Andrew P. Amodeo is a longstanding Elmsford, New York executive who manages the operations of Silver Lake Contracting Corp. As vice president of the firm he directs the efforts of 30 employees, while also operating the full range of machinery and equipment. Among the client-driven assignments Andrew Amodeo manages are those involving the construction and paving of roads and sidewalks, landscape installation, and the removal of snow from winter roads.

 

Mr. Amodeo is also responsible for back office aspects of operations, including inventory, maintenance, and investing in the latest equipment and technologies. Among the innovations he has introduced are excavators equipped with an Engcon tiltrotator that does much of the work that would formerly require a team of laborers to accomplish. The tiltrotator also allows work right up against walls and buildings, without compromising their integrity.

 

His responsibilities with Silver Lake Contracting extend to the planning phases of projects, and he works closely with clients in drawing up contracts that clearly define the scope of the work to be performed. Andrew P. Amodeo is active with industry organizations such as the Snow and Ice Management Association.
